Whether this is your cat’s first urinary issue or they need ongoing urinary care, your vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO + Satiety + Calm for a reason. This veterinary exclusive wet cat food was developed to nutritionally support your cat’s urinary tract and bladder health. This formula is designed with Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology to help lower ion concentration in urine, which contributes to stone formation. The complete and balanced formula promotes satiety—meaning it provides a feeling of satisfaction, so your cat feels fuller in between meals and is less likely to beg. And specialized nutrients help calm your cat who may be demonstrating fearful behaviors. Lower urinary tract issues may be a recurring concern for some cats. Talk to your veterinarian about keeping your cat on this urinary cat food for long-term urinary support. And ask them about Royal Canin Urinary SO dry cat food and treats to complement your cat’s diet or for mixed feeding.

Cat loves it, I don't like the smaller cans

I have been feeding Royal Canin Feline SO for years now. My cat LOVES the canned and dry. We free feed the dry and use the canned to give him meds at night. When it is close to time for meds in the evening, he follows and harasses us, begging for his tablespoon of canned food. I am not happy they made the cans smaller, especially at this price, which is why I took off a star. But my cat loves this food, and since we were put on it years ago after a urinary blockage due to crystals, we have had zero urinary issues.

Can size is smaller

I can speak for myself, many of my colleagues in veterinary medicine, and many of my peers who feed this to their cats, that we are thoroughly unimpressed with the change in can size while increasing the price for consumers. What's more - Hill's didn't go around and change can sizes on consumers. I understand price changes to an *extent*, but not when owners are skimmed on food in the process for their cats.

Expensive. and Smaller

Been using for years, now price is up 20% but they also shirked the can 15%. Pick one! now I have to open 2 cans to feed my 3 cats. just increase price and leave can size alone or offer multi sizes!

Why shrink the can?

I understand it's a "thing" among manufacturers to shrink the size of packaging rather than increase prices -- though the effect is the same. I think it was irresponsible for you to do this with prescription food. My cat needs to eat the same amount of food no matter what the can size. So my cost will go up -- fortunately it's not a big deal for me -- but what is a big deal is you've made portion control more difficult, and the end result is I will also have to order food more often. You didn't do me (or others like me) any favors, and you really screwed this up. Thanks for nothing.

Disappointed in can size change

My cat has been on this diet for some time. I was extremely disappointed in your can size change with no change in price. It's effectively a 12% increase in price, and makes portioning her intake more difficult. If you have to up your price, fine, but that is a big jump and not a very upfront way to do it. We didn't realize the calories/can were so different until we noticed she seemed hungry. This is not what I would expect from a reputable company.

Initially was ok

Our 3 1/2 yr male was prescribed this after having urinary blockage, lots going on creating the perfect storm I guess. He doesn't care for this canned or dry, always have to add a little treat to encourage consumption, rarely eats it willingly or completely uninterested. He seems so sluggish and tired and rarely playful which is not his usual personality. Once the cans are used up will not be buying it. Too expensive and not impressed with ingredients.

Wow - really helps with anxiety!

Two of my anxious cats switched to this food from other RC foods and both are much calmer. Cyndi usually vocalizes (screams, really) most of the time, especially in the AM when she wants food. She stopped doing that and may sleep as late as 10 AM instead of 5ish! Mitt is much more affectionate and interested in humans. Great blend of food!

Works, but smelly

The food has overall helped my cats stop fighting more amongst eachother and keeps them full longer (less begging), however both of my cats have EXTREMELY smelly BM's now. Normal stool, just stinks.
