SATISFIES HUNGER: High natural fiber level in this dry food keeps cats satisfied between meals

BONE AND JOINT SUPPORT: Targeted nutrients support bones and joints placed under stress by excess body weight

COMPLETE AND BALANCED: Dry dog kibble is 100% complete and balanced cat nutrition to ensure essential nutrient needs are met during weight loss

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: High protein helps maintain lean muscle mass as cats achieve their ideal weight

This veterinary-exclusive dry cat food is specially formulated to promote safe weight loss in overweight and obese cats. In fact, in a clinical trial, 97% of cats lost weight in three months, and begging was controlled in 82% of cats. This complete and balanced cat diet promotes satiety—meaning it provides a feeling of satisfaction, which helps your cat feel full between meals and be less likely to beg. Its high fiber content helps reduce cats' tendency to want to eat spontaneously throughout the day, and glucosamine and chondroitin supports joint and bone health. Balanced essential nutrients ensure nutrient requirements are met, while high protein helps maintain muscle mass. And the exclusive S/O Index promotes a urinary environment unfavorable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Remember, exercise like playtime can also help your lovable fat cat achieve a healthy weight. Be sure to consult your veterinarian to know what level of activity is appropriate for your pet.

Excellent results!

Our cat has lost nearly all her extra weight in the last seven months and is so much healthier and more active. She likes the food and it really fills her up between meals.

Our kitty is lean and healthy now

Our young kitty was ravenous and had eaten her way to a body condition score of 7/9. She weighed about 12 lbs. and begged a lot. I did some reading and found that this food had the fewest calories per cup of almost any other kibble. Started our kitty on it one year ago, and she is in wonderful health. Lean, agile, alert, and satisfied. She loves the flavor (it smells a bit fishy, which is probably why). Excellent food that does what you want it to. Feed according to the guidelines on the bag.

25lbs to 16lbs in a little under a year

My cat was a chonk who weighed 25lbs. Our vet prescribed this about a year ago and he currently weighs 16lbs. We're still working on getting him down to 15lbs (he's part maine-coon), but feeling relieved that he's healthier.

Good, But Food PiecesAre Too Big

I fed the Satiety Support dry food to both of my cats, although only one was overweight. The cats liked the food, but the pieces of dry food are too big for cats; they’re more like the size of dog food. My older cat had trouble chewing the food, so unfortunately I had to switch brands.

Cats weight is controlled

My cats were overweight. This product has slowly helped them lose weight & they are not hungry between feedings. They all like the taste apparently! (even the cat that doesn’t have an overweight problem)

Opposite effect!

My nine year old cat was about 13 pounds with otherwise normal bloodwork, a year and a half ago. My vet recommended this food, and she lost weight. However, now she has hyperthyroidism, which she did not have before she ate this food. We followed the vet’s instructions, and the bag’s recommended feeding dosages, for one year. Her thyroid levels went from a normal range (anywhere from 1 to 4.7) up to 15.6. I’m concerned about PBDEs, and why a normal/healthy (albeit slightly overweight) cat would now have a new serious medical problem, after having this (prescribed!) food.

Kitty loves it, maybe a little bit too much

I'm feeding this to my slightly overweight 7 year old cat. She shredded the bag open when I first purchased it, so I think she finds it quite delicious. I followed the recommendations for feeding her 5/8 cup at first, then reducing to 1/2 cup. But she is still insatiable and I'm wondering if it's related to her first 10 months as a feral kitten begging for restaurant food. I've been able to slow down her eating by putting half of her food for the day in a food ball and she doesn't seem to be in a panic as long as she knows there is food there. I had to increase the daily food back to 5/8 cup so that she wasn't so frantic. I'm hoping that will still be effective for weight loss as it's about half the calories of what she was getting previously. She does have larger stools but hasn't been constipated. Her coat is soft and shiny and her energy levels are great.
