HEALTHY DIGESTION: Highly digestible proteins and prebiotics promote digestive health and optimal stool quality

HIGH CALORIE CONTENT: Allows cats to eat small meal portions and still get the nutrition they need because of the adult cat food’s high calorie content

CAT GI HEALTH: Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, and a blend of soluble and insoluble fibers help manage GI health

URINARY SUPPORT: The exclusive S/O Index, which creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder, supports urinary health

You’ve tried everything to help with your cat's GI issues, whether those are vomiting, diarrhea, or lack of appetite. And while bland homemade diets are often used for digestive upsets, your cat could be missing some key nutrients to help them fully recover. But with the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope—there can be a true difference.

This palatable, digestible GI cat food supports digestive health with high fat and calorie content, so you can feed your cat small portions to support their sensitive stomach. This also helps underweight cats or cats who are eating less get the calories they need. Prebiotics help maintain the balance of good bacteria in the gut. A blend of dietary fibers supports healthy digestion for optimal stool quality. Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, from fish oil help nourish and soothe the GI tract. And the exclusive S/O Index supports urinary health by creating an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder. Ask your veterinarian about pairing this diet with Royal Canin Gastrointestinal wet cat food as well as complementing with Gastrointestinal cat treats.

Rectal Prolapsed Kitten

I have a 6 month old kitten that was suffering with rectal prolapsed. he undergoes a surgery and managed to survive. It works great and I'm truly grateful as this can help my cat to poop normally. Unfortunately, it is very pricey as I live in Malaysia. A bag of 2 kg is MYR 100-something :/ but I understand why the price point quite high.

So very sad...why the recipe change? :(

My 12 year old girl was having hairball issues and my vet recommended this to try and help. It did amazing for her, hairballs have been kept at bay and she absolutely devoured this stuff. She even began crying for it each morning and night upon hearing me open the can. I soon began to run out of the supply my vet sold to me and had to purchase a new case of cans. To my surprise, I open the first can upon arrival and it looked, smelled and even mixed differently than the original loaf recipe I was giving her. One thing I noticed, the fish oil looked to be too much and the scent was something of a spice smell possibly added? I hoped for the best, and prepared it for my baby girl. She walked over to it, smelled it for a moment, and simply walked away - not touching it for the rest of the evening after I gave her a chance to get used to the new offering. I ended up feeding her the old food supply I still had on hand before I began feeding her this line. I'm glad I had some left! Why did you guys have to change the recipe? I see so many others on here complaining about the same issue, and it still hasn't changed back? Now I have to find something else from another cat food line that can hopefully be close to this recipe. Super bummed for my girl and even more bummed that I had a remedy for her issue and now I'm back to square one hoping for the best again.

Changed Prescription Diet Without Warning

It took a year of vet and Emergency Room visits to figure out my cats needed a special gastrointestinal diet. It's the only thing that keeps them regular. It requires a PRESCRIPTION from our vet to order and it comes on auto-delivery. So then why does Royal Canin change the formula without warning or notice?? I received my new bag of food and immediately noticed it was different and was concerned. It no longer said "high energy" and I noticed changes and omissions when comparing the ingredient lists. I was hopeful there wouldn't be an issue so I mixed a spoonful with their regular kibble and woke up to a disaster. The change caused a serious reaction. My cats had explosive diarrhea and even though they went in their litter box, the diarrhea exploded out of their high walled litter box, ricocheting and covering every wall in the bathroom, the floor, rugs, out to the hallway, glass shower walls, everywhere. This left me no time to discuss with my vet in order to find a suitable replacement and we've tried and haven't been able to get the old formula. I have about 3 days before my cats food runs out and cannot believe a company would change the formula of a prescription diet that cats rely on without warning knowing they need time to adjust to any changes in diet. I tried reaching out with no response on getting any left over high energy diet kibble. Please let me know if possible.

Cats loved it

I have the worlds pickiest cat with urinary issues. She loves this food! It's a bit spendy though.

A year of constipation resolved in two days.

It's really incredible. My poor baby has been so constipated for so long, seriously resolved in 2 days of just adding 1-2 T into his diet daily (Fiber Response version). I have been so worried about him. Yesterday I watch him do his business, just hoping so badly that I'd see good results. At first it was all hard round pellets again, and he was struggling. I was so upset. He then got out and went to the other litter box. Oh? Another 2 hard pellets, but then low and behold, a perfect stool! I was seriously cheering! I have not seen perfect stool from him in so long. This food works! Today was all perfect too. I think we have it solved now. Fingers crossed. I am so thankful. I was one of those people who wanted him on only low/no carbohydrate, grain free foods, because we are told now a days how food with carbs and fiber don't belong in a cats diet. Yeah well, my poor baby suffered so long because I listened to these people and articles. Maybe it works for some cats, but other cats need a little extra help in the way of properly formulated fiber, which this food does. I didn't want to have to rely on medication, or things like pumpkin (won't eat it) to make him go. All wet food didn't work either. The wet food he loves and only really wants to eat is Fancy Feast pate, and that still made him constipated! Other wet foods, a couple of them with grains in them work, but he is so picky with his wet food, that it isn't a viable option because he doesn't consistently eat them. I tried other dry foods, they all seem to make him constipated, except for cheap dry food, but that makes him puke every week. Not a viable option either. I even tried raw food, and that just made him not able to go for days. I had to give him so many egg yolks and hairball remedy just to get him to eliminate. SCARY. Seriously, if your cat is constipated, try this food out. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for not following the grain free trend. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because he isn't totally thrilled with it. First day he ate it like hes never eaten before and loved it, but now he could take it or leave it. I crush up a couple temptation cat treats on it to get him to eat it, so far that works. I have yet to actually try mixing it into his current dry food, I may give that a try. For real, try this food.

Siamese has won lifelong vomiting battle.

I bought this after my vet recommended it for my Siamese. She eats and then throws up shortly afterwards and has don't this since she was a kitten. Taking care of my Cloe is very important to me, she's 13. I don't want her to spend the rest of her years getting sick, being frail and skinny. This food is really helping! It helps everyone involved, the cat feels better, and so do we now that our carpet will stay clean!

Both of my boys love it!

One of my Bengals,Watson, has IBD and this food along with his medication has been a key to his recovery. Watson has not once gotten sick from this food and loves the taste. We have since been able to ween him off of medication and this food helped his digestive system get back on track. My other Bengal Boy, Crick, does not have any digestive issues, but he is on the same food for ease and he also loves it. Both of their coats look fantastic. It is a very reliable and honest product!
